Recovery Room Sports Grill, opened in 2007 as a single location across from Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. The name came from the restaurant's proximity to the hospital, with the idea being that Recovery Room would serve as a getaway for those who were at the hospital during trying times, as well as the local sports buffs.

In addition to the Albany Medical Center hotel project, the Recovery Sports Grill brand originated at this location. A family-friendly sports themed restaurant concept was developed in the first floor retail space. Based on the proximity to the hospital, the restaurant was named by the Hospital CEO as “The Recovery Room.” The restaurant pays tribute to local athletes and features well known national sports teams with memorabilia-covered walls. With over 50 flat screen televisions and a covered patio, it offers guests and sports enthusiast a fun relaxing place to go.
